Visiting New York City and want to better understand the stories behind the September 11 Memorial and the people connected to it?
Together with New York City Tourist Tips & Tricks, one lucky group will receive a free private September 11 Heroes & Memorials walking tour for up to 9 people.
This is not simply a walk around the Memorial. The tour focuses on the people who lost their lives, acts of heroism from that day, and details around the site that many visitors walk past without ever noticing.
What the Tour Covers
The September 11 Heroes & Memorials Private Tour explores the sixteen-acre World Trade Center Memorial site while explaining the stories, locations, and details connected to September 11.
During the tour, you’ll hear about:
- people who did not survive the attacks
- remarkable acts of courage and heroism
- important areas throughout the sixteen-acre Memorial site
- details and physical evidence that many visitors never notice
- several overlooked elements that have never been repaired or replaced
The goal is to give visitors a deeper understanding of the site and the individual stories behind one of the most significant events in New York City’s history.

Why This Tour Is Different
Thousands of people visit the September 11 Memorial every day, but visiting the site and understanding it are two very different experiences.
Many important details are easy to miss without someone explaining what happened at specific locations and why certain parts of the site remain significant today.
This private walking tour goes beyond simply pointing out landmarks. It focuses on individual stories, acts of heroism, and details still visible at the site more than two decades later.
